This 3 Days Gorilla Trekking Safari Bwindi in Uganda is one of our commonly requested tours. The trip to Bwindi may be done going through one of the two routes. You may choose to do this gorilla safari from Kigali in Rwanda or start it in Entebbe, Kampala to Bwindi forest. On the other hand, you may start it in from Kigali to Bwindi and end it in Entebbe or from Entebbe to Bwindi and conclude it in Kigali.

Day 01: Transfer from Entebbe to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Day 02: Trek to see Mountain Gorillas in Bwindi Forest.

Day 03: Drive back to Kampala.

FULL BWINDI GORILLA  SAFARI ITINERARY 

Day 1: Depart Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Start the journey to Bwindi at 7:00 am as you drive towards the south western direction of Uganda. Have a brief stop at the Uganda Equator where you will have some photographs as well as refreshments plus visiting the craft shops around equator monuments.

The journey will offer you the sightings the Ankole long-horned cattle in Mbarara. You are also likely to the grazing zebras and antelopes as you drive past Lake Mburo National Park from the highway. The Ankole rolling hills as well the rolling hilly terraced topography that characterize the Kigezi region are amazing.  Have lunch in Mbarara town or visit the Igongo cultural center to get a traditional experience of the Ankole culture. After lunch, drive further to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park where you will arrive in the evening. Overnight at Silverback Lodge, Mahogany Springs or Buhoma Community Bandas on full board.

Day 2: Trek to See Gorillas in the Wild

following a heavy breakfast, transfer to the park offices for briefing by the ranger guides. Leave the lodge equipped with you picnic lunch boxes and water for hydration. Trekking up and down to see the gorillas may take between 30 minutes to 8 hours in the steep and slippery jungle. The strenuous gorilla adventure will finally lead you to bump into the highly looked after primates, the mountain gorillas. On meeting the awesome endangered primate species, you will have one full hour to see, admire and observe their characters and behaviors. During this time, take pictures with no flash and later walk out of the forest to meet your safari vehicle to transfer back to the lodge. Overnight at Silverback Lodge, Mahogany Springs or Buhoma Community Bandas on full board.

Day 3: Bwindi Gorilla Forest – Kampala

Take breakfast and start the journey back to Kampala with a lunch stop in Mbarara city. Arrive in the evening and the driver will take you to the hotel of your preference or to the airport for a flight in case any. End of Bwindi Gorilla Safari.
